Saturday, I had the honor of helping give a baby shower for my cousin-in-law, Rebekah. The shower was held at the beautiful Dutch Ford Farm in Metter, and it was my first time attending anything at the event venue. When we first arrived at the venue, I was in awe. Dutch Ford Farm features a large house, barn, and two other, smaller buildings on the property, all of which can be rented out for weddings, showers, retreats, etc.
We held the baby shower at the main house, and since Rebekah and Drew have decided not to find out if Baby H is a boy or a girl until he or she arrives, we went with green decor. We were able to use the kitchen to prepare the food and set it up, along with the beautiful (and delicious) cake from Honey Ridge Sweets. While the guests were eating, they were able to spread out across several rooms at the front of the house. After eating, we all headed to the living room at the front of the house for some fun games and presents.
The shower was filled with many people who love Rebekah and Drew and are excited about Baby H's arrival. I know all of us are excited to find out if Baby H will be a boy or a girl...and as he or she grows up to find out if baby takes after mom and becomes a Dawg, or takes after dad and becomes an Eagle. :)
It was a wonderful day in Metter, Georgia, with a beautiful mommy-to-be, lovely people, delicious food, and lots of gifts to prepare for the baby's arrival.
