Last summer, I asked for input on what specific locations in the area people would like to have a photo session in the fall. I got many great answers, but one I saw mentioned several times was Honey Ridge Agricenter in Guyton. I wasn’t surprised; Honey Ridge is an absolutely beautiful property in Guyton with tree-lined drives, big oak trees, lots of Spanish moss, and many beautiful spots for pictures. It’s a photographer’s dream! So, when I saw the South Effingham High School FFA was planning to host a photographer's day as a fundraiser in the fall at Honey Ridge, I jumped at the chance! Once I paid for my spot, I set up mini-session appointment times for people to book their family photography sessions, and they sold out in record time!
We couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather on the day of the sessions. It wasn’t crazy hot, and the sky was clear all day. As the day went on and the sun started to set, the property really showed off, and you can see that in the images from that day. I had a fantastic time with each of the families who came out for their portraits, and I am so excited to share some of my favorite images from that day. I’m hoping this will be something that’s offered again so we can get even more families out to Guyton to enjoy Honey Ridge and get some beautiful family pictures!
